Recently, Tamil Nadu Petroproducts Limited (TPL) and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) signed a long-term agreement for the supply of Benzene.

TPL is India’s leading manufacturer of intermediate industrial chemicals and a part of AM International’s chemical segment of businesses.
The company was established in 1984 with the goal of manufacturing Linear Alkyl Benzene (LAB), a key ingredient in the production of cleaning agents and detergents.

High-quality Benzene is essential in the production of LAB. As part of the partnership, the Benzene will be sourced from IOCL’s refinery complex in Panipat, Haryana.

This milestone was celebrated in a formal ceremony attended by senior leaders from both TPL and IOCL.

The contract was signed by Mr. Senthi Kumar Dharmar, Managing Director of TPL, and Mr. Rajesh Kumar Bhagat, DIBH – Chennai DO, IOCL, in the esteemed presence of Mr. Manoharan Annadurai, Executive Director, TNSO – IOCL. On the other hand, TPL was represented by Mr. Murugan Natarajan (VP, Operations), Mr. Ramakrishnan R (AGM, Operations), Mr. Parthiban C (CFO), and Mr. Shyamsundar Rajaraman (Head of Procurement).

The event provided an opportunity to reaffirm their shared vision for India’s industrial growth.
