In the relentless pursuit of excellence, Manali Petrochemicals (MPL) has always valued and cultivated great leadership. It is in this spirit that we regularly welcome visitors from senior leaders and leadership teams. These visits serve as an excellent platform for the exchange of insights, ideas, and enriching experiences, and encourage us to aspire to greater heights.
One of the senior leaders and Directors recently visited MPL – Devaki Ashwin Muthiah, spent a day at our manufacturing facility in Chennai. This was Devaki’s inaugural visit to MPL since her appointment as Director on the boards of both MPL and AM International, earlier this year.
Devaki was here to meet the team members from operations, products, and various other departments according to her, our most valuable resource is our people. The MPL team extended her a warm welcome by organizing a special puja, after which she was formally greeted by the senior leadership team including the MD.
MPL has always prided itself on its commitment to innovation, sustainability and customer satisfaction. To accelerate the company’s growth and to drive further innovation, Devaki held discussions with the MPL leadership team. She received a comprehensive overview of the company’s performance, plant operations, and other pivotal aspects. They also exchanged ideas and deliberated on the way forward for MPL.
During a guided tour of the company’s two plants, Devaki explored the control rooms and state-of-the-art laboratory. MPL is constantly raising the bar in our collaboration with customers to make products that meet their exacting standards and requirements
The tour was therefore an exciting journey from boardroom to factory floor, where Devaki gained insights into some of the products manufactured by MPL.
We are proud of our progress on the sustainability front, and she was briefed on the sustainability initiatives and CSR work. We also demonstrated how we integrate ESG goals into all our operations as well as our compliance with quality and safety standards.
Before she concluded her visit, Devaki met the Human Resources and Training & Development teams at MPL. We have a highly motivated workforce and foster a work culture that encourages our employees to push the envelope and think out of the box. This positive and productive work environment aligns with our ethos as well as HR policies. Our HR and T&D teams briefed Devaki on MPL’s hiring practices, employee retention policies, upskilling programs, and steps taken to ensure diversity.
Her visit established a strong bond and great enthusiasm among the MPL leadership team, and all employees.
While Devaki was impressed with what she saw at our facility, her presence greatly inspired the MPL community, leaving us eagerly awaiting future visits and continued engagement.
