We recently said farewell to three of our most valued colleagues. After long and distinguished careers with TPL, they superannuated, closing chapters that together span over a century of combined service. Throughout the emotional farewells, what stood out was the remarkable professional journey all three undertook during their time with the company. Their journeys laid bare the truth of AM International: this is a place where careers are built, not just jobs filled.
Years of service

Life brings few privileges greater than work that means something.
The three retirees had begun their careers in junior roles, and steadily progressed through the ranks. R.M. Raghunathan joined as an Engineering Management Service Trainee in 1998 and retired as Vice President, Projects, after 31 years. P. Arulalan joined as a Technician in Production in 1986 and retired as Senior Manager, Projects, after nearly 40 years of service. A. Jakir Hussain joined as a Graduate Engineer Trainee in 1989 and retired as AGM Projects after 36.5 years spanning three plants and multiple departments. These trajectories were made possible by a culture that values merit and actively facilitates long-term growth of employees.
Since our inception, our approach has been creating opportunities for professional development. Many of our employees joined us as young professionals and spent their entire careers with us. Some retired after decades of stellar service, others went on to occupy leadership positions in different industries, which is a testament to the aforementioned approach. It proves that our companies are not only good places to work but also nurturing grounds for future leaders.
A Supportive Culture

Careers find sustenance in the right kind of challenge. Employees at AM International are always at the frontier of industry, where they find the most interesting opportunities to learn and showcase their talents.
This is apparent in the journeys of all our employees. R.M. Raghunathan played a pivotal role across landmark projects including the LAB Revamp, ECH, Propylene Oxide, NPN, and HCD Revamp projects, each of which strengthened the company’s operations in meaningful ways. P. Arulalan led critical interventions including plant restarts during the Chennai floods of 2023 and spearheaded in-house modifications that kept production running during equipment failures. Jakir Hussain built expertise across HCD, PO, and LAB plants, taking on responsibilities in maintenance, projects, safety audits, and training across his tenure.
Challenges and responsibilities brought them experience and built a sense of trust. The support of management, the guidance of seniors, and the camaraderie of colleagues have been constants that our retiring employees have all spoken of warmly.
Words and Principles

Senior employees can often distill decades of experience into a single line. One such reflection was offered by one of the retirees during their farewell. “Be loyal and sincere to your work and your company, and it will take care of you.”
This kind of sentiment cannot be manufactured. The trust reflecting in it is earned through years of shared commitment and mutual respect.
It reflects the employee experience we strive to create through our 5C principles for career building: Culture, Care, Compassion, Commitment, and Camaraderie. Together, they shape workplaces where excellence is the standard, employees feel genuinely supported, and the bonds between colleagues make every challenge easier to face.

Building Forward
At AM International, we are always excited to find people who align with our values of innovation and excellence. We are committed to attracting and nurturing talent, be it young professionals starting their careers, mid-level managers seeking larger responsibilities, or senior leaders looking to build and lead a business. We are always happy to welcome the right people.
After all, businesses may build products and services, but it is people who build enduring institutions.
